Kill la Kill episode 9: Knife Nipples

Episode description (from CR): The final round of Honnouji Academy’s Naturals Election is about to begin and the Elite Four all want to be the first to fight Ryuko. Her homeroom teacher, Aikuro Mikisugi, is concerned if she’ll be able to make it through one fight, let alone all four!

We shall now start the battle arc. Battle order is determined by how many people each person defeated to get to their posts. The less you defeated the earlier you get to take Ryuko on. First up, Gamagoori, followed by Inumuta, Nonon, and Sanageyama. Ryuko is ready to fight now but too bad because the fights don’t start until 1 pm.

Ryuko decides to go have lunch in the meantime because why not? However Ryuko and Mako’s quaint little lunch is Mikisugi. Mikisugi warns Ryuko that fighting all of the Elite Four in a row would lead to her demise. Ryuko gives him a proper smack down informing Mikisugi that unless he plans to explain shit to her she will go through with the fight.

And I guess you could call it a fight. It really just appears to be a beating until Senketsu comes up with a magical plan that just so happens to work. Also Senketsu turns into come blades and it looks super weird. I’m not a huge fan but hey at least the principle of Senketsu being able to transform makes sense. If the Goku uniforms can transform than it makes sense that Senketsu would also be able to.

Overall this episode was interesting. I’m more interested in what’s going to happen after this fight arc. I am interested to see Nonon and Inumuta’s Goku uniforms but still overall I just want to move on and see what will happen afterwords.
